Poland — Ustawa o systemie oświaty (art. 22ao)
The Act of 7 September 1991 on the education system retains, after the 2017 Prawo oświatowe split, the assessment/examination system and the textbook-admission regime. Curated here is art. 22ao — the conditions under which a podręcznik (including an electronic one) may be admitted for school use.
Fact text is Polish (authentic language); this README is curation.
Applicability to EdTech
- Electronic textbooks are a first-class form: a podręcznik may be paper or electronic (art. 22ao ust. 1).
- Accessibility is an admission condition for digital form: an electronic textbook must be built so that solutions enabling reading by pupils with different disabilities can be applied (ust. 3 pkt 6); a paper textbook must additionally have a digital counterpart on a data carrier or online (pkt 6a).
- No advertising content in admitted textbooks (pkt 5), and no cross-selling hooks requiring the publisher's own supplementary materials (pkt 4 lit. b).
- Anti-teaching-to-the-test clause (2025 amendment): textbooks for classes IV–VIII and secondary schools must present the curriculum and must not be built repetitively around exam-task drilling (pkt 2).
- Ordinance layer: detailed conditions under art. 22aw (pkt 7).
Note: this admission regime applies to podręczniki (curricular textbooks admitted by the minister), not to supplementary digital learning resources generally — an EdTech content library outside the podręcznik system is not subject to art. 22ao, but the clauses signal what the ministry treats as disqualifying (ads, exam drilling, inaccessibility).

Scope note: the former art. 44zzra (OKE electronic exam-support system) is repealed in the current consolidation; the examination chapters and the SIO act are separate layers — add them when a Poland question needs that level.
Enforcement
Admission to school use is decided by the minister właściwy do spraw oświaty i wychowania; reviewers (rzeczoznawcy) assess conformity.
