Czechia — Zákon č. 264/2025 Sb., o kybernetické bezpečnosti
The new Czech cybersecurity act transposing NIS2, in force since 1 November 2025, replacing zákon č. 181/2014 Sb. Curated here is the personal scope: what a "regulovaná služba" is and who must register.

Applicability to EdTech
- Education is an enumerated sector: the registration conditions cover services significant for society/economy/security in listed sectors including "věda, výzkum a vzdělávání" and "digitální infrastruktura a služby" (§ 4 odst. 1 písm. a)), combined with a medium-or-large enterprise threshold (písm. b)). Czechia therefore goes beyond the NIS2 annex (which has no education sector); whether a given school or EdTech service is actually regulated depends on the NÚKIB vyhláška listing the services (§ 4 odst. 2).
- A service is regulated only once NÚKIB decides/registers it (§ 3, § 6) — providers meeting § 4 conditions must self-report (ohlášení) within 60 days.
- Extraterritorial hooks: the act reaches entities established in Czechia and specified categories offering services there (§ 1 odst. 2).
- The EU-level substance is in NIS2; the Czech act supplies the registration regime, the two duty regimes (vyšší/nižší povinnosti) and NÚKIB supervision.
