Statute text above is reproduced verbatim from the govinfo.gov USCODE-2024 edition of the US Code, extracted mechanically — see tools/govinfo/build_us_statutes.py, whose verify mode confirms every source paragraph appears verbatim; do not hand-edit statute text. govinfo editions are annual snapshots: on re-verification, compare against uscode.house.gov's current text (requires a US network) or the next edition, and bump EDITION in the builder deliberately. Editorial notes and amendment history from the source page are not reproduced; the bracketed source credit is. Anchors are derived from the printed subsection labels per METHODOLOGY §4 (e.g. {#sec-794-a}).
