Romania — Legea nr. 506/2004

Romania's transposition of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC: "Legea nr. 506/2004 privind prelucrarea datelor cu caracter personal și protecția vieții private în sectorul comunicațiilor electronice" (Monitorul Oficial nr. 1101 of 25 November 2004, as amended — notably by Legea 235/2015). It carries Romania's cookie rule and unsolicited-communications regime; ANSPDCP handles the related breach-notification forms ("Notificare Breșă L.506/2004" on dataprotection.ro, read 2026-09-06).
