Romania — Legea nr. 198/2023 (învățământul preuniversitar)

Romania's pre-university education law of 4 July 2023 (Monitorul Oficial nr. 613 of 5 July 2023), which replaced the education provisions of Legea nr. 1/2011 for the school sector. It is the instrument expected to carry the school-side rules on digital education, catalogues/registers and pupil-data handling (including the SIIIR information system context).

No statute text is reproduced here yet. The official consolidated source legislatie.just.ro is not machine-extractable from our network (re-tested 2026-09-06 — the HTTPS endpoint drops every non-browser request; details in the Legea 190/2018 stub). The act is heavily amended since 2023, so the as-published PDF from edu.ro would not meet the current-consolidation standard of METHODOLOGY.md.
